X-3D-BL upgrade: FunPilot installation

Hi! I've just ordered my FunPilot. I can't read german user guide.
So my question is: Can you explain how do this Upgrade?

I have X-3D-BL with X-ACC and nearly FunPilot

I would want to know...

1)Step to follow to remove old x-3d and install Funpilot.
Best solution to upgrade the new firmware for FunPilot without error. For example: upgrade the new x-base firmware before remove x-3d...etc.

2)Firmware to upgrade (in the right succession if there is one...)

3)Why exist two FunPilot firmware: "including" and "no including settings"?

Another little questio about "in English" button on the menù bar.


When I click on the button appear the first translated page of the thread. But when I try to go on the other pages of discussion it returns always on the first page...

What's going on? I tried with Firefox and Explorer. Result the same.... Thanks Titta

Hi tittap,

tend2it already alerted me to the problem. Something in the URL parameters for the babelfish translator seems to have changed that breaks this... I'm looking into it, hope I can fix it.

Hy! FunPilot is arrived today...
I've mounted it immediately and I connected x-usb without connect the battery to watch parameters.

All the parameters in ACCMODE-HHMODE-DATAFUSION/MISC are preset on "1". It's normal or I must upload a set of parameters?

This is not normal. Are you sure you correctly connected to the FP? Are software and hardware version and battery voltage of the FP shown correctly?
All settings set to 1 is next to impossible if you connected to the FP correctly.

Hello all,
I received my funpilot and I have installed it following all the points above but the x-ufo doesn't take off.

If I switch on the x-ufo the led green is fixed and the yellow blinks.
Then if I move the throttle stick to the bottom left to start the engines
I have 2 random cases:

1) the yellow led becomes fixed and the x-ufo does nothing.
2) the engines turn on, then if I give it more throttle, the engines turn off and the yellow led becomes fixed.

I have seen some other random cases of leds combination but I hope to not see they more!!

I don't know if there are other settings to do on the funpilot.
Unfortunately i don't understand German.
I tried to translate the manual through google but it is incomprehensibles.

Please, can someone give me help ?

three way (by default, on channel6) means, that values of channel6 below middle -> HHmode. Values of channel 6 somewhere around middle -> ACC, values above the middle -> ACC+ higth control.

in the settings, you can either swith to the former known 2-channel switching mode.

Now is more clear but: I have an Mx-12 with 6 CH

During first flight with FP i can notice higth control behaviour using CH6.

But using CH5 (with CH6 = 0) It seems always in ACC MODE .

Is correct?

@orangilabodoh: Where had you found FP led pattern? I'm looking for a English Manual
