Hello all,
I received my funpilot and I have installed it following all the points above but the x-ufo doesn't take off.

Please, can someone give me help ?
Thanks

Before take off you must hear one to four beeps (made by motors) which explains what is your choice of setting. To choose between the four settings, you have to do it after power on, by put the joystick of picht and rool at left/up (fast) at right/up (medium)at right/down (slow) and at left/down (extrem) with throttle in max position (up).

After to choose a setting, when you switch on the X-base you can hear one to four beeps.

And now I explain the LED :

red :Initialisation
red/yellow blinking : X-base or X-BL engines unknown
red/yellow and green blinking : no reception and no choice of setting
yellow and green blinking : no choice of setting
yellow blinking/ green : ready to fly and choice of setting known
yellow blinking : X-base in setup
yellow/red : trim reset
yellow: trim saved.

Do not forget to flash the last firmware of X-BL V2.1

hello orangilabodoh,
thank you for the explanation.
I tried to change settings but the result was the same.
Every time that I switch on the x-base, I can hear the music and the beeps setting,
I'm also enable to change it.
When I move the thrust stick on the bottom-left,
the engines start but when I increase the thrust they turn off.

I also tried to reinstall all the firmware and now when I switch on the x-base
I have the green, and red fixed and sometime green, yellow and red all fixed.
In the x control I can see the funpilot parameters, but the graphic sensor is blank.
I can see the graphic sensor alive just for a moment when I switch on the x-base.

I tried to reinstall the old x-3d and it works perfectly.
I'm beginning to think that my funpilot has some factory problem.... Crying or Very sad

What do you suggest to do?
Thanks.

Are sure to run with firmwares X-BASE V3.0 + X-BL V2.1 ?
But if you reflash the firmware of Funpilot with X-Control V2.10, it does not work

As you already explained your whole problem here, I'll answer you here instead writing it by email on asctec support. (If you prefer talking to me via the asctec support email, just tell me, and we'll switch over to email).

There are two things I need to know first.
- Did you try to upgrade the FunPilot also? (even if the firmware which was preinstalled on the Funpilot was the newest one available)
- You said you can see the FunPilot version page. Does the version show up? Or does only the page show up, but no values? There should be version and battery voltage readable if everything is correct.

Thanks falkor,
I didn't know that you are of asctec support!
I prefer to write in the forum to help someone unlucky like me! Very Happy

The answers to your questions:
Zitat:

Yes at the end I have flashed also the funpilot.

Zitat:

Yes I seen the parameters. I noticed that cpu number wasn't 1000 like the image posted by orangilabodoh, it was a little number, but i don't remember.

Today I have reinstalled the X-Control 3.0 and the old x-3d.
I have downgraded the old firmwares on the x-base, x-3d, x-bl to have the old hardware/software situation.
Then I have upgraded again all, following your instruction like the first time.
Finally the 04:15 AM seems to work!! Razz
Unfortunately I did only a very short test.
As soon as possible I will do a significant test to understand if it work really and which was the mistake.

Thanks for the subbort falkor!

Hello falkor,
I have tried again but unfortunately it doesn't works perfectly.
It works randomly!
Sometime I switch on, it doesn't starts and I have only the red fixed.
Sometime instead it starts, (I have greeen fixed and yellow blinks) also the engines start, but the power of them is very low.
In the picture you can see my settings.
If you need more screenshot to understand something, I will send it to you.
p.s. it is normal to have 8 controllers for the brushless?

Thanks.

I had the same problem as Yopi, 8 X-bl presents. But after many retries I succeeded in configuring 4x-bl and flashed the new firmware for x-bl (xbl_v21_serie.blc)

good luck!

@ owners of MX-12 and Funpilot with X-ACC:

Channel 6 necessary to activate mode ACC without altitude control corresponds to the ordering of flaps. Thus the amplitude is not enough large to activate this mode, it is necessary to increase amplitude ON/OFF with the adjustments of the MX-12.

As you also uploaded the FunPilot firmware, try re-uploading it using X-Control V2.11 (new version, which is available since about 2 minutes).
Some users had problems correctly uploading the firmware on X-Control V2.10, but it seems to be solved in V2.11 (at least I hope so).

BeitragVerfasst am: 2008-08-09 (Sa), 18:41    Titel: Switching between modality Antworten mit Zitat

Hello all,
I would like to try the height control, but probably I'm doing something wrong..
It seems that I can't select the ACC MODE/HH MODE/DATAFUSION/MISC.
I have a Futaba FF9.
During the trasmitter calibration I assigned 2 potentiometers (vr-a and vr-b) on the channel 5 (ext1) and 6 (ext2).
Using the potentiometer on channel 5 I have a progressive delay on thrust.
Using the potenziometer on channel 6 I have nothing.
What's my mistake?

Thanks

p.s. There's a way to understand the selected modality?
